How To Clean The Oven Shell

Safe Oven Cleaning Tutorial (Step by Step)

Step 1: Remove Loose Debris

Take out the oven racks and remove any crumbs, burnt food, or loose debris from inside the oven.

Step 2: Razor Blade for Stubborn Build-Up

Use a razor blade to carefully scrape away the thick, baked-on grime.
Tip: You can spray SHYN Degreaser first to soften the debris before scraping, or scrape first and then spray—it depends on how heavy the build-up is.

Step 3: Apply SHYN Degreaser

Spray SHYN Degreaser generously inside the oven.

Agitate with a steel scrub to break down grease and soften grime.

Remove loosened debris with a clean, damp SHYN Ultimate Microfibre Cloth.

Step 4: Deep Scrub with SHYN Paste

Apply SHYN Paste with your steel scrub.

Agitate the area to lift off stubborn stains.

Wipe away residue with a wet SHYN Ultimate Microfibre Cloth.

Step 5: Finishing Touch

Do a final wipe with a clean, damp microfibre cloth to remove any leftover product.

Dry the inside thoroughly with a SHYN Drying Cloth.

⏱️ On average, this safer method takes about 1 hour for a full oven clean.

The Faster (But Harsher) Way

There’s a quicker method that some people use—spraying a caustic oven cleaner, covering it with cling wrap for 1.5 hours, and then wiping it out with a clean microfibre cloth.

⚠️ I don’t recommend this because:

It can damage cupboards if not protected properly.

Inhaling fumes can cause serious health issues.

Contact with skin can result in burns.

That’s why in this video, I’m showing you the safer system instead—the one I use and trust.

✅ With this method, your oven will be clean, safe, and ready to use—without the risks.
